กรุงลอนดอน Royal Thai Embassy, London UK โดยระบุว่า
ขณะนี้มีมิจฉาชีพใช้เทคโนโลยี ปลอมแปลงหมายเลขโทรศัพท์ของสถานเอกอัคคราชทูต
หมายเลข 0207-589-2944 และไปหลอกหลวงคนไทยที่อยู่ในสหราชอาณาจักรและไอร์แลนด์
โดยให้หลีกเลี่ยงการรับโทรศัพท์จากบุคคลและหมายเลขแปลกๆ ที่ไม่คุ้นเคย
เพราะอาจเป็นมิจฉาชีพ และยังได้ยืนยันว่าทางสถานทูตฯ
ไม่มีนโยบายสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคลทางโทรศัพท์
แก๊งคอลเซนเตอร์
อาจไม่ได้มีความพยายามหลอกแค่คนไทยที่อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศเท่านั้น
ล่าสุดมีที่สหราชอาณาจักร ทำให้สถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทย ณ กรุงลอนดอน ต้องออกโรงเตือน
ทำให้ทราบว่ามีคนไทยไม่น้อยในสหราชอาณาจักรที่โดนแก๊งคอลเซนเตอร์ติดต่อ
บางคนมาคอมเมนต์ บอกว่าเจอมาเหมือนกัน โดยฝากข้อความเสียงไว้
เป็นเสียงบันทึกมาอีกทีและตัดมาบางส่วน
แจ้งว่าเรามีเอกสารที่ยังไม่ได้รับการตอบกลับ
ถ้ายังไม่ตอบกลับจะมีผลต่อการพำนักอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศนี้
ขณะที่บางคนที่เจอเล่าว่า
เมื่อวานก็โทรมา เมื่อเช้าก็โทรมา นี่จึงนำไปสู่คำถามของหลายคนที่สงสัยว่า
แล้วมิจฉาชีพเหล่านี้ ได้ข้อมูลมาจากไหน
ทำไมถึงรู้ข้อมูลว่าคนไทยคนนี้อยู่ในสหราชอาณาจักร และไล่โทรเป็นรายคนได้
และไม่ใช่แค่อังกฤษ เพราะถ้าไปดูตามกลุ่มท่องเที่ยวต่างประเทศ ก็มีคนไทยไม่น้อยที่โดนเหมือนกัน

ไปพบ ส่วนหนึ่งเป็นผู้ที่เดินทางไปเที่ยวสิงคโปร์ เป็นกรณีของปีที่แล้ว เธอเล่าว่า
ตอนเดินทางไปสิงคโปร์ได้เปลี่ยนเบอร์โทรศัพท์เป็นซิมของสิงคโปร์แล้วเพื่อความสะดวกในการใช้งานจู่ๆ
มีเบอร์แปลกโทรเข้ามาใจความคือแจ้งว่าโทรมาจากกรมควบคุมโรคสิงคโปร์มีปัญหากับเรื่องวัคซีน
พอกดไปตามระบบอัตโนมัติเรื่อยๆจนได้คุยกับคนเกิดโมโหจึงได้ด่าไป และก็ถูกตัดสายไป
และที่เจอกันบ่อย คือ โทรมาแล้วแจ้งว่า ติดต่อจากสำนักงานตรวจคนเข้าเมืองสิงคโปร์
หรือ ICA เช่นคนนี้
แต่เป็นช่วงที่กำลังจะขึ้นเครื่องกลับพอดีจึงไม่ได้รับสาย
จากการสำรวจเพิ่มเติมของวันใหม่ไทยพีบีเอส
พบว่า มีคนไทยหลายคนโดนแบบนี้ โดยมิจฉาชีพจะอ้างว่า พาสปอร์ตมีปัญหา
บางครั้งอาจถูกหลอกให้ติดตั้งแอปฯที่ทำให้ถูกดูดเงินได้

On December 20th.In 2013, the graphics
and text were posted on the Facebook page of the Royal Thai Embassy in London,
Royal Thai Embassy. London UK said that the hijacker now uses the phone number
