นอกจากนี้ปี 2568
ยังเป็นปีแห่งการเฉลิมฉลอง 60
ปีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์
ภายใต้สโลแกน“60ปีแห่งการเดินทางร่วมกันของไทยและสิงคโปร์” (Celebrating
60 Years Shared Journey of Thailand and Singapore) ทั้งนี้ประเทศไทยและสิงคโปร์ได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูต
เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2508
แต่เมื่อย้อนกลับไปดูประวัติศาสตร์จะพบว่ารากฐานความสัมพันธ์ไทยและสิงคโปร์
เริ่มก่อตัวขึ้นตั้งแต่สมัยของพระบาทสมเด็จพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 4
ที่ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าฯ แต่งตั้งให้ นายตัน กิม เจ็ง ชาวสิงคโปร์เชื้อสายจีน
เป็นกงสุลใหญ่คนแรกของไทยประจำสิงคโปร์เมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2406 และต่อมาเมื่อปี พ.ศ.
2414 พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 5
เสด็จพระราชดำเนินเยือนสิงคโปร์ พร้อมพระราชทานช้างสำริดให้กับสิงคโปร์
เพื่อเป็นการระลึกถึงการเสด็จพระราชดำเนินเยือนสิงคโปร์เป็นครั้งแรก
และทรงซื้อที่ดิน พร้อมอาคาร Hurricane House โดยที่ดินแปลงดังกล่าวได้สืบทอดมาเป็นที่ตั้งของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ
ในปัจจุบันและต่อมาทั้งสองประเทศได้ร่วมมือกันก่อตั้งสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้
(ASEAN) ในปี พ.ศ. 2510 ภายใต้ปฏิญญากรุงเทพ (Bangkok
Declaration) ที่พระราชวังสราญรมย์ กรุงเทพฯ
อดีตรัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงพาณิชย์อลงกรณ์กล่าวว่า
พรรคประชาธิปัตย์ก่อตั้งในปี พ.ศ.2489 จึงมีโอกาสร่วมส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนความร่วมมืออันดีในทุกมิติระหว่างประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์โดยเฉพาะความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจการค้า
ในปี 2567 สิงคโปร์เป็นคู่ค้าอันดับที่ 4 ของไทยในกลุ่มอาเซียนและอันดับที่ 10
ของไทยในระดับโลก โดยการค้าระหว่างไทย-สิงคโปร์ มีมูลค่า 17,758.84
ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ เป็นการส่งออก 10,363.82 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และนำเข้า 7,395.01
ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ ไทยได้ดุลการค้า 2,968.81 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และต้องขอแสดงความชื่นชมสิงคโปร์ในฐานะมิตรประเทศที่ช่วยผลักดันการเจรจาความตกลงเศรษฐกิจดิจิตอลของอาเซียนหรือ
DEFAให้มีความคืบหน้าและมีมาตรฐานสูงเพื่อการก้าวเข้าสู่เศรษฐกิจดิจิตอลและสิงคโปร์ยังเชิญชวนไทยเข้าร่วมความตกลงหุ้นส่วนเศรษฐกิดิจิทัลหรือ
DEPA ซึ่งปัจจุบันประกอบด้วยสมาชิก 4 ประเทศ ได้แก่ สิงคโปร์
นิวซีแลนด์ ชิลี และ เกาหลีใต้อีกด้วย.

of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the Republic of Singapore under
the slogan "60
Years of Sharing Journey of Thailand and Singapore". In May, Thailand and
Singapore established diplomatic relations. In 1965, but looking

relations had been established since the reign of King Mongkut, King Rama IV,

Majesty King Chulalongkorn, King Rama V, visited Singapore and gave bronze
elephants to Singapore to commemorate his first visit to Singapore and
purchased land along with the Hurricane House building. The plot was inherited
as the location of the Royal Thai Embassy.
Today and later, the two countries joined forces to form the Association
of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 1914. 1967 under the Bangkok Declaration at
Saranrom Palace, Bangkok.
Former Deputy Minister of Commerce Alongkorn
said the Democratic Party was founded in B.E. 2550. In 1946, Singapore had
the opportunity to promote and promote good cooperation in all dimensions
between Thailand and the Republic of Singapore. In 2024, Singapore was
Thailand's fourth largest trade partner in ASEAN and Thailand's tenth largest
trade partner in the world. Trade between Thailand and Singapore was USD17.75 billion,
representing exports of USD10.36 billion and imports of 7. 395.01 million U.S. dollars. Thailand recorded a trade balance of 2,968. And I would
like to express my appreciation to Singapore as a friend of the ASEAN Digital
Economy Agreement (DEFA) for its advancement into the digital economy.
Singapore also invites Thailand to join the DEPA Agreement, which currently
consists of four members: Singapore, New Zealand, Chile and Singapore. South Korea as well.
