ในขณะที่นายกรัฐมนตรีได้ไฟเขียวให้ตรวจสอบคดีนั้น
พล.ต.อ.สุรเชษฐ์กล่าวว่า ทุกอย่างว่าไปตามกระบวนการยุติธรรม ผิดคือผิด ถูกคือถูก
ไม่มีอะไรให้หนักใจ ส่วนที่การสอบสวนสาวไปถึงเจ้าหน้าที่คณะกรรมการ
ป.ป.ช.ที่อาจจะมีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องในการตกแต่งบัญชีทรัพย์สินนั้น พล.ต.อ.สุรเชษฐ์
กล่าวว่า เรื่องคดีวันนี้ก็ให้ตรวจสอบ แต่การตรวจสอบนั้นก็ต้องชอบธรรม
และเป็นไปตามกระบวนการกฎหมาย อำนาจของการสอบสวน
อะไรก็ตามวันนี้ตนเองพร้อมให้การตรวจสอบ เดี๋ยวสักพักความจริงจะปรากฏออกมาเอง
ซึ่งบัญชีทรัพย์สินของตนได้รายงาน ป.ป.ช.อยู่ตลอด ส่วนเรื่องตกแต่งบัญชี เรื่องนี้มอบทนายชี้แจง

Master” เมื่อวันที่17 มี.ค.ที่ผ่านมา ว่า
กรณีนี้ในทางพนักงานสอบสวนเป็นไปตามขั้นตอน โดยมี พล.ต.ท.ธิติ แสงสว่าง
ผบช.น.เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบ และตนทราบเรื่องในทางพฤตินัยแล้ว การตั้งหัวหน้าพนักงานสอบสวนคดี
BNK Master ในพื้นที่ สน.เตาปูน
คดีนี้แยกออกจากคดีเว็บพนันออนไลน์ของมินนี่ที่สำนวนส่งไปที่ ป.ป.ช.โดยมี
พล.ต.อ.ธนา ชูวงศ์ รอง ผบ.ตร. เป็นหัวหน้าพนักงานสอบสวน ที่แต่งตั้งมาตั้งแต่อดีต

สำนักงานกฎหมายและคดี (กมค.ตร.) จะมีการรายงานให้ทราบในช่วงบ่ายวันนี้
ซึ่งตามขั้นตอนหาก พล.ต.อ.สุรเชษฐ์
ถูกออกหมายเรียกและถูกออกหมายจับก็จะต้องมารายงานตัวในฐานะต้องคดีอาญา
หลังจากนั้นสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติก็จะตั้งคณะกรรมการขึ้นมาตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริง
เมื่อมีผลก็จะสั่งให้พักราชการ
โดยเชื่อว่าเรื่องดังกล่าวจะแล้วเสร็จก่อนที่ตนจะเกษียณอายุราชการภายในเดือนกันยายนนี้
พล.ต.อ.ต่อศักดิ์ กล่าวว่า
ถ้าพยานหลักฐานถึงใครก็ต้องรับสภาพหากชี้แจงไม่ได้
